The danger of terrorism is one of the major sources of threat to the right of the citizen to enjoy a safe life. Facing this danger requires using more strict measures and procedures, following up terrorist activity, observing it and acting to prevent its recurrence.
Terrorism has become an international danger which different countries in the world seek to confront via special legislations as happened in the United States, Britain, and Spain and other countries. Those legislations have raised much dispute in these communities, as they attempt to realize a balance between the interest of the community in maintaining its security and safety of its citizens and maintaining rights of individuals and their freedoms.
The past period has seen international and regional developments of certain danger whose impact has extended to include attempts to threaten unity of social fabric and borders and sovereignty of the State. The volume of risks posed by terrorist organizations has been confirmed given facts, evidence, and admission of terrorist elements. Also, networks of terrorist organizations have expanded regionally and internationally. Such organizations have resorted to the use of upgraded methods in planning for and implementing their destructive crimes. In addition, interrelation between terrorism and organized crime is evident.
Given these risks on the security of the homeland and the citizens and as the NDP continues calling on the Government to ensure balance for the anti-terrorism law and work on issuing it
